Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Who our CPA Firm WORks WITH, AND who do you work BEST with?
While we work with a wide range individual and business clients, we also recognize the need to focus on what we do well, and who is best served by our services.
On the individual tax side we normally work with individuals with more complicated tax situations, high-net worth tax payers, and those with small business. These include Schedule C Businesses, Schedule E Rental Properties, Investments, Pass-through businesses, substantial itemize deductions.
For Businesses our focus is primarily on professional (doctors, dentists, lawyers, other financial professionals), service businesses, technology firms, marketing firms and government contractors.

HOW MUCH DO YOUR cpa SERVICES COST?
Our CPA service fees vary by engagement but we do have a minimum service fee of $500 which includes tax returns. Generally most of our services come to a higher fee then our minimum and this should be the expectation. Ultimately, our goal is to provide a greater ROI (return on investment) then our service fees which is achieved in several ways, but it can't be done offering cheap prices.
An easy to understand hypothetical example:
While a $300 tax return (1) is inexpensive, the likelihood that this is going to produce much benefit (especially long term) is remote and not sustainable. However, our service (2) at $1,000 with time to review a clients, and areas of opportunity, regularly produce $2,000 or more in tax savings.
In the end would you rather be out $300, or after paying for our service you have an extra $1,000.

do you offer free consultations?
Yes. For those looking for our service(s), we offer a free 15 minute introductory consultation. The idea is to get a bit of a background for those looking for service and their actual service needs to determine if it's a good fit for everyone without wasting to much time for all involved.
During the 15 minute introductory consultation we'll make a determination of the next steps best for all involved. From here we generally either setup a longer meeting to go into deeper detail, request additional information, or if it's not the right fit for whatever reason, we'll give you some advice, suggestions, resources or next steps as we don't want to see you struggle.
